CFCLA operated another light engine movement on Tues.18.10 to Murtoa to collect the remaining ballast hoppers that had been stored at that location for a number of months. The train is seen here beginning its return journey to Melbourne. (71 kb)

SSRS's K205-D49-K206 on a ballast train at Tailem Bend on Fri.23.9.

South Spur Rail has the contract to supply motive power for works trians on the ARTC network in South Australia. During the middle of September they were operating out of the ballast siding at Callington on the South line. Here SSRS's K205-D49-K206 are seen on an empty ballast train at Tailem Bend on their way back to Callington. - Fri.23.9. (59 kb)

Locomotive 4483 in SSR colours made an unusual light engine trip from Melbourne on the morning of Sat.3.9 to collect the rake of CFCLA ballast hoppers that had been stabled at Murtoa for some time. The loco arrived B end leading at 11.55 and departed with the wagons at 13.00 (80 kb)

GL105 stabled at the turntable at Dimboola on Tues.23.8.

Another rare visitor to the west of the state - CFCLA's GL105 stabled at the turntable at Dimboola on the morning of Tues.23.8 after being shunted off *SP2 the previous evening. (70 kb)

A late running P & O train, MA6, through Dimboola at 11 05 on Thurs.14.7.

A late running P & O train (MA6) behind GM42 and CLP17 powering through Dimboola at 11 05 on the morning of Thurs.14.7. This train usually passes through this location just before midnight. (62 kb)

Back in 1993, C502-S300-S302 stabled at Dimboola on the front of a container train on the afternoon of 29-8-1993.

Back in 1993, goods train 7MA3/9150 was scheduled to stable at Dimboola on a Sunday between 07 10 and 17 15, due to a lack of siding space in Melbourne, making it a prime candidate for the photographer

On the 29th of August 9150 had locomotives C502-S300-S302 up front, seen here at Dimboola at midday. (62 kb)

ATN Access grain train awaiting departure from the Dimboola Grain Centre on the morning of Thurs.19.5 - locomotives L270-8164-L254.

ATN Access returned to the west of the state in the third week of May with two trains to the Dimboola Grain Centre. The first one loaded on Tues.17.5 with L270-8164-GL107 up front and the second one loaded two days later with L270-8164-L254 as the motive power.

Here the second of these services is seen just prior to departure from the Grain Centre. (65 kb)

The train consisted of CLF7-ALF20-ALF24-CLF4, crew car JRA 6L and a rake of hired CFCLA CGAY grain hoppers. (70 kb)

This locomotive operated ballast trains to locations beyond Dimboola on Mon.31.1 and Tues.1.2 from the ballast stockpiles at Glenorchy.

XR555, now a regular on 9791/9792 and G537 stabled in the yard at Dimboola on the afternoon of Wed.19.1.05.
