Mt Arapiles

World renowned as a rock climbing destination, Mt Arapiles provides over 2000 different routes graded from easy to extreme. Sightseers can picnic at the available facilities or drive to the top and enjoy breathtaking views of the Wimmera Plains.

Grampians

Banksia Hill is within a 45 minute drive of the Grampians mountains. See rugged mountain ranges, colourful rocky outcrops, spectacular lookouts, waterfalls, koalas, kangaroos, ancient aboriginal sites and much more.

Little Desert

The Little Desert National Park is 30 minutes from Banksia Hill. Best time to visit is in Spring when the area comes alive with masses of wildflowers. Organised tours are available.

Fishing

The district gives you opportunities for fishing in the nearby Wimmera River (redfin, tench and callop) and in the Grampians at Lake Wartook and Lake Bellfield (redfin and trout).

Horsham Golf Club

Recognised by most as the best outside the Melbourne area and rated among the top 30 in Australia, the course is a popular attraction for visiting golfers.
